Working with Visit Britain, the English Riviera Tourism Company (ERTC) welcomed a major familiarisation visit by Russian and Italian Tour Operators looking to bring groups and tours to the English Riviera.
Carolyn Custerson (Chief Executive ERTC) and Nick Powe (Owner, Kents Cavern) welcomed the group of 23 influential tour operators at Kents Cavern in Torquay. The group then moved on to Torre Abbey and then to Brixham where they enjoyed a seafood lunch at Crab Quay House. In the afternoon, they took a trip on the picturesque steam train followed by a scenic boat trip on the Dart.
Carolyn Custerson said, “It is superb to see everyone in our resort working together to ensure these important international travel planners gain a first class impression of the English Riviera. The Russian and Italian markets offer good opportunities for our tourism businesses and all members of this group are managing overseas tours into the UK.”
