The English Riviera Tourism Company has announced a brand-new online initiative, to take full advantage of the recent TripAdvisor Best Seaside Destination accolade.
The new Experience the English Riviera Facebook Competition will run from May 14th to June 30th 2014 and is designed widely promote the recent TripAdvisor ‘Top Seaside’ destination award. This campaign is expected to reach 4 million people and follows the success of last year’s English Riviera 100 Competition.
The grand prize for the new Experience the English Riviera consists of the following:
- A two night stay at the boutique Haytor Hotel in Torquay.
- Tasting Menu for Two at The Elephant Brasserie with matching wine.
- Admission for two to all the following: Babbacombe Model Village, Bygones, Paignton Zoo, Living Coasts, Kents Cavern, Torquay’s Dinosaur World and Smugglers & Pirates Experience plus two tickets for a show at Babbacombe Theatre.
The prize is to be taken between October 2014 and March 2015.
The key objective for this campaign will be to build engagement with our existing audience and to attract a raft of new visitors. The competition will direct people towards the English Riviera official destination website once they’ve entered and thus will encourage them to book their holiday.
Other activities during this campaign will be:
Twitter – The ERTC will drive the new campaign via promoted tweets to reach a broader audience over the next 5 – 6 weeks.
Email Newsletter – The next newsletter will focus on the TripAdvisor award and the 2014 summer holidays.
Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) – Our SEO will be updated to reflect the ‘Best Seaside Destination’ message.
